Barnaby Eaton-Jones (who organised the Hooded Man convention) is trying to put together a book of fans' memories of RoS episodes. All the details are here on his Facebook page: www.facebook.com/events/1470037903269560/permalink/1471493626457321/, but in case you don't like FB, here's what he says:
"
If you're a fan, you'll have a childhood memory (or an adult memory) associated with an episode of the series 'Robin of Sherwood'. Here's your chance to share them with the world!
This charity anthology (with all profits going to Richard 'Kip' Carpenter's chosen charities of the British Red Cross and The Sherwood Forest Trust) is going to collect your memories that circle around the series and publish it in book form, with the title 'Nothing's Forgotten'.
What you need to do is pick an episode and pitch the idea of what you want to write to info@thehoodedman.co.uk (please, no more than a paragraph for your pitch, just giving us the episode title and what you'd like to write about - for example, if you remember being scared of horses because of 'The Swords Of Wayland' or somesuch).
The series has 26 episodes to choose from and we will have 2 to 3 contributors for each episode, so it's really a case of the Editor deciding which pitch fits best or doesn't repeat another. The minimum word count for your piece is 1500 words. There isn't a maximum! Unless it's a novel. Ahem.
This will be the first third of the book with, as an added extra, actors/crew from the show sharing their reminisces of favourite episodes too (they'll be announced as they agree!). Nickolas Grace is our first 'yes' to writing something.
The second third of the book will be a timeline and narrative of all he conventions and events that have kept the series alive and continue to inspire new generations of fans. We're honoured to have some of the head honchos of these amazing events writing about this time, from the end of the series to the 30th anniversary. This will be a deserved documentation of how fandom kept the arrow shooting straight and true.
The last third of the book will be the full script for 'Robbin' The Legend', which is very much akin to an Abridged History Of RoS type of a comedy stage show. It was performed at 'Legend 2004' (and expanded/altered amendments from the version performed at 'Legend 2006' will be included too). There were genuine belly laughs and a much valued appreciation by the Sheriff himself, Nickolas Grace, and the good Friar, Phil Rose.
The deadline for pitches is the 1st of October."
