Now we've watched through the whole series of RoS, we'll start rewatching (or watching for the first time) some other series, that have some connection to RoS or are of a similar genre. So, historical or fantasy series mostly. We can also watch films together, though, because of the extra length, we could either split them up, or watch them on a Saturday (when perhaps members in other time-zones could join us.). We can also, maybe once a month, watch a RoS episode, perhaps ones with commentary on them.
Generally we'll stick to watching on a Thursday night, as that seemed to suit most people, at 8.15pm unless anyone would prefer a different time.
Below is a list of potential series and films to watch, please reply to say which ones you have on DVD/Blu-ray/VHS or would be able to get hold of, and which you would most like to watch. I've added links to where you can buy them if you're interested. Please also mention any other ideas, and I'll add them to the list.
TV series:
The Legend of Robin Hood (1975 series), which feature John Abineri. DVD
Arthur of the Britons, with Oliver Tobias as Arthur. I think the episodes are about 30 minutes, so we could watch two at a time. DVD
Cadfael - 13 episode at 75 minutes long each, probably best to start at 8pm. DVD complete collection
Dick Turpin, created by Richard Carpenter. DVD
Smuggler, written by Richard Carpenter and starring Oliver Tobias. DVD
Films:
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (pretty terrible in my opinion, but would be fun to watch together). DVD
Robin Hood (Disney animated). DVD
The Adventures of Robin Hood, with Errol Flynn. DVD
Robin and Marian, with Sean Connery and Audrey Hepburn. DVD
King Arthur, which starred Ray and had Mark working on the fights. DVD
